I'm a redhead with 15 years of teaching college courses and I tell my colleagues every semester to embrace change or risk losing their effectiveness in the classroom. My BAs are Creative Writing and English (KU) and my MA is Professional Writing (USC). I currently teach FT for Elon University, in North Carolina and have been conducting research on the impact on student engagmenent in first-year writing courses that incoporate a high concentration of digital and social media. My pet peeves are cypress clocks, seahorse birdbaths, and velvet paintings of Elvis.
