I earned my Ph.D. in Indo-European linguistics from the Masaryk University in Brno under the tutelage of Vaclav Blazek. I specialize in Balto-Slavic accentology and apply non-linear approaches and optimality theory to problems in Indo-European and Balto-Slavic accent systems. I am currently engaged in a project to co-author a book, Historical Phonology of the Czech Language (Winter Verlag), with Marc L. Greenberg at the University of Kansas.
